Jejunal intussusception (CT).





TECHNIQUE: Contiguous axial CT images were obtained from the dome of the diaphragm to the pubic symphysis following the intravenous administration of iodinated non ionic contrast and the oral administration of positive CT contrast agent.

OBSERVATIONS:
The lung bases and the visualized heart are normal.

GI tract:
-Two target signs are seen in the jejunal loops of both epigastrium and the left hypo chondrial areas. The former measures about 37 mm in diameter while the latter is about 28 mm giving impression of intussusception for clinical correlation.
-No definite fluid levels could be noted.
-There is no perienteric stranding. 
-The colonic loops are normal in configuration.
-The liver is normal with no intrahepatic biliary dilatation or focal hepatic lesions. 
-The spleen is normal. 
-The pancreas is normal. 
The adrenal glands are normal, without nodularity. 
-The kidneys are without hydronephrosis, calculi or solid renal masses. 
-The Pelvic organs including the uterus and adnexae  are normal. 
-There is no abdominal or pelvic adenopathy by size criteria.
-There is no pneumoperitoneum or free intra-abdominal fluid.

IMPRESSION:

·        Evidence of two areas of jejunal intussusception for clinical correlation.
