PROTOCOL:
T1W –
Sagittal & axial scans
T2W – Axial
& coronal scans
FLAIR – Axial
scans
FINDINGS:
-Revealed:
·
A focal area
of altered signal in the right side of pons with faint hyper intensity on T2
and Flair images (20 x 19 mm in diameters).
·
Another small
lesion of altered signal in the right thalamus with 7.7 mm diameter.
·
The overall
intensity of the white matter is decreased on T2 images and increased on T1
images giving impression of myelin abnormality (probably due to increased water
content).
·
Bilateral
frontal gyral hyper intensity giving impression of gyral ischemic changes.
·
Normal morphology
of MR angiography.
OPINION:
·
Bilateral frontal gyral necrosis.
·
Right pontine and right thalamic infarction.
·
Diffuse ischemia resulting in myelin abnormality.
