Semi lobar holoprocensephaly (MR).







PROTOCOL:       T2 W  - Axial scans
T1 W - Axial & Sagittal  scans
FLAIR - coronal scans
     
FINDINGS:

-Revealed:
·        Deformation of the ventricular system with two separate posterior horns giving it a horse shoe appearance.
·        Inter hemispheric fissure is partially developed in its posterior portion while cannot be identified anteriorly.
·        Partial fusion of thalami.
·        Partially developed corpus callosum.
·        Small third ventricle which opened in the occipital fused lateral horns.
·        Loss of volume of frontal lobes.
                                                                                                                                                                                        

IMPRESSION:

·        Picture is suggestive of a semi lobar holoprosencephaly case for clinical correlation.
