Biceps brachii sprain (MR).

Imaging Protocol:

The following imaging pulse sequences were performed for the shoulder joint in a high field MR magnet.

·        Proton Density fat saturated images in the coronal, sagittal and axial planes.

·        Coronal T2 weighted images and sagittal T1 weighted images.

Findings:

-Revealed:

·        Diffuse hyper intensity of the parenchyma of Biceps brachii muscle; suggestive of muscle edema.

·        Sub cutaneous edema in the medial part of the lower arm.

Impression:

·        Picture is suggestive of muscular strain for clinical correlation.
