PROTOCOL:
T1W – Sagittal & axial scans
T2W – Axial & coronal scans
FLAIR – Axial scans
FINDINGS:
-Comparative study done with previous one done in 1/11/2012 revealed:
• The mass is still in its basi-frontal site more situated on the left side with increased size.
• The recent measurements 36 mm in AP diameter; 30 mm in transverse diameter and 17 mm in vertical diameter.
• The previous measurements taken in 1/11/2012 about 30 mm in AP diameter; 30 mm in transverse diameter and 9 mm in vertical diameter.
• Encasement of left internal carotid artery.
• Presence of mass tissue lateral to the lateral wall of the left cavernous sinus.
• Direct contact between the mass and left side of optic chiasm and pituitary stalk.
-Brain Parenchyma shows normal grey white matter differentiation and signal intensities. No focal mass lesion is seen.
-Lateral and third ventricles are normal in size and position. Septum is in midline. There is no midline shift.
-Basal cisterns, cortical sulci and gyri are normal in appearance.
-Sella is normal in appearance.
-Corpus callosum shows normal MR morphology.
-Brain stem and cerebellum show normal signal intensities.
-Fourth ventricle is normal in size and is midline in position.
OPINION:
• Increased size of the mass as previously mentioned in the findings.
• Encasement of the left internal carotid artery.
• Signs of invasion of the left cavernous sinus for laboratory evaluation.
