CT Urography for Stone (CT).

Clinical data:  right pelvic calculus
Plain and post contrast MDCT has been performed for the kidneys, ureters and bladder. Multiplanar reformations were obtained.

  • Right Kidney is normal in size, shape and position. A 6 mm radiodense (1139 HU) calculus is seen at the posterior lower calyx. The perinephric fat shows normal attenuation. Normal excretion of contrast material by the right kidney. Normal anatomical axis of the right pelvicalyceal system. No evidence of hydronephrosis. No evidence of filling defects.
  • Left Kidney is normal in size, shape and position. No radiodense calculus is seen. The perinephric fat shows normal attenuation. Normal excretion of contrast material by the left kidney. Normal anatomical axis of the left pelvicalyceal system. No evidence of hydronephrosis. No evidence of filling defects.
  • Both ureters are normal in course and calibre. No radiodense calculus is seen in their course.
  • No evidence of filling defects.
  • The urinary bladder is well distended and shows normal outline. No radiodense calculus is seen within it.

  • There is no ascitis
