Clinical impression: operated right temporal bone
Plain high resolution MDCT scans were performed for the temporal bones. Multiplanar reconstructions were obtained.
- Evidence of right temporal bone surgery is seen.
- Opacification of the right middle ear cavity as well as the sclerosed right mastoid air cells are seen. Normal right ossicular chain is seen.
- The left tympanic cavity, ossicular chains and tympanic membranes are normal on left side
- The attic and mastoid antrum are normal on either side.
- The facial nerve canals, semicircular canals, cochlea and IAMs are normal.
- The sinus plate and tegmen tympani are intact.
- Left mastoid air cells are well pneumatized.
- The external ear structures are normal.
IMPRESSION:
Findings are suggestive of operated right temporal bone with evidence of right CSOM and right chronic mastoiditis.
