Cerebral Arterio-venous Malformation (MR).

PROTOCOL:
T2W – Coronal & axial scans
T1W – Sagittal & axial scans
FLAIR – Axial scans

FINDINGS:

-Urgent reporting as advised by physician.
-An area of altered signal is noted in the right frontal lobe measuring about 32 x 21 mm in diameters. It shows definite blooming effect on gradient sequence.
-It is surrounded by grade I peri focal edema.

-The rest of the brain Parenchyma shows normal grey white matter differentiation and signal intensities.  No focal mass lesion is seen.
-Lateral and third ventricles are normal in size and position. Septum is in midline.  There is no midline shift.
-Basal cisterns, cortical sulci and gyri are normal in appearance.
-Sella is normal in appearance.
-Corpus callosum shows normal MR morphology.
-Brain stem and cerebellum show normal signal intensities.
-Fourth ventricle is normal in size and is midline in position.

OPINION:

- Picture is suggestive of vascular lesion likely arterio-venous malformation for clinical correlation.
