Pleural Effusion, Cardiomegally.


Pre and post contrast MDCT scans were obtained for the chest.


  • Moderate right pleural effusion with underlying right lower lobe consolidation collapse.
  • Multichamber cardiomegaly with cheat of anterior pericardial calcification.
  • The rest of both lungs are clear.
  • No evidence of abnormal bronchial dilatation is observed.
  • No evidence of any focal or diffuse emphysema is noted.
  • No evidence of interstitial disease is seen.
  • No evidence of any mass lesion or lymphadenopathy is observed in the mediastinum or hilar regions.
  • The mediastinal vasculature is normal.
  • The pleural spaces are clear.


IMPRESSION:



  • Moderate right pleural effusion with underlying right lower lobe consolidation collapse.
  • Multichamber cardiomegaly with cheat of anterior pericardial calcification.
