Atelectasis, Pneumonitis, aortic Aneurysm.





Pre and post contrast MDCT scans were obtained for the chest.


  • Right apical atelectatic band.
  • Right basal small patchy area of pneumonitis.
  • Diffuse aneurysmal dilatation of the ascending aorta measuring 5.6cm.
  • Irregular mural thrombus involving the aortic arch and descending aorta.
  • The rest of lungs are clear.
  • No evidence of abnormal bronchial dilatation is observed.
  • No evidence of any focal or diffuse emphysema is noted.
  • No evidence of interstitial disease is seen.
  • Multiple mediastinal subcentimetric lymph nodes.
  • The pleural spaces are clear.

IMPRESSION:


  • Right apical atelectatic band.
  • Right basal small patchy pneumonitis.
  • Diffuse aneurysmal dilatation of the ascending aorta.
  • Irregular mural thrombus involving the aortic arch and descending aorta.
