Pre and post contrast MDCT scans were obtained for the chest.
- Right apical atelectatic band.
- Right basal small patchy area of pneumonitis.
- Diffuse aneurysmal dilatation of the ascending aorta measuring 5.6cm.
- Irregular mural thrombus involving the aortic arch and descending aorta.
- The rest of lungs are clear.
- No evidence of abnormal bronchial dilatation is observed.
- No evidence of any focal or diffuse emphysema is noted.
- No evidence of interstitial disease is seen.
- Multiple mediastinal subcentimetric lymph nodes.
- The pleural spaces are clear.
IMPRESSION:
- Right apical atelectatic band.
- Right basal small patchy pneumonitis.
- Diffuse aneurysmal dilatation of the ascending aorta.
- Irregular mural thrombus involving the aortic arch and descending aorta.
