Plain MDCT scans were obtained for the entire brain.
- Multiple scattered tiny hypodense areas are seen at both basal ganglia regions.
- Diffuse bilateral periventricular and white matter hypodensities.
- There is no evidence of fresh intracranial haemorrhage or midline shift.
- Both lateral ventricles and third ventricle are prominent in size.
- Cortical gyri, sulci and basal cisterns are unremarkable.
- The rest of the posterior fossa structures including brainstem and fourth ventricle are normal.
IMPRESSION:
- Suggested small vessel disease and few lacunar infarcts.
