Plain high resolution MDCT scans were obtained for the para nasal sinuses. Coronal reconstructions were obtained.


  • Sinuses: 

Mild mucopreiosteal thickening involving the right maxillary antrum and right ethmoidal air cells.
The rest of paranasal sinuses are clear.
Their bony walls are intact.


  • Osteo Meatal Units:

These are clear on both sides and appear normal in morphology.


  • Nasal Cavities:

The nasal cavities are clear.
Hypertrophied right inferior nasal turbinate.
Pneumatized right middle concha bullosa.
Nasal Septum:
It is in midline and shows no evidence of deviation.
No evidence of septal spur is seen.


  • Cribriform Plate and Laminae Papyraceae:

These are intact.


  • Hard Palate:

It is horizontal and symmetrical.


-IMPRESSION:


  • Mild right maxillary and ethmoidal sinusitis.
  • Hypertrophied right inferior nasal turbinate.
