Plain MDCT scans were obtained for the entire brain.
- There is moderate to marked dilatation of the ventricular system more prominent on both lateral ventricles.
- Right occipital V-P shunt tube with its tip at tip at the right lateral ventricle.
- Reduced cerebral mantle with no evidence of any focal or diffuse lesion could be detected.
- Cortical sulci are effaced.
- No evidence of any intracranial hematoma is seen.
- No evidence of midline shift is seen.
- The posterior fossa is unremarkable.
IMPRESSION :
- Moderate to marked communicating hydrocephalus with non functioning VP shunt for clinical correlation.
