Popliteal tendon tenosynovitis (MR).





PROTOCOL:  T2W – Sagittal & Coronal Scans
                           T2FFE & PDW – Sagittal Scans
                           STIR – Coronal Scans
   
FINDINGS& IMPRESSION:

-Revealed:
·        Tenosynovitis of the tendon of popliteus muscle in the postero-lateral compartment of the knee joint (image # 17 coronal stir and image # 16 sagittal stir).

-Bones of the knee joint show normal alignment, outlines and marrow signal intensities.
-Lateral and medial meniscus show normal hypo intense signal.
-Anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments are normal in course, bulk and signal intensity.
-Medial and lateral collateral ligaments are well visualized and show normal signal intensity.
-Patellar and Quadriceps tendons are normal in appearance and signal intensities.
-No effusion is noted.
