Juvenile fibromatosis of the hand (MR).








PROTOCOL:     Sagittal, Coronal and axial T1 and T2 Wt                                         sequences.
          Axial T2 Wt IR FSE sequence.

FINDINGS:

Post surgical status revealed:
Single ovale mass of abnormal MR signal in the medial side of the plantar surface of the right hand with measurement of about 43 (sagittal diameter) & 25 mm (transverse diameter) and 29 mm (height). It causes stretching; compression and invasion of the underlying skin with T1 hypo intensity and Stir hyper intensity.
Another lesion in the carpal tunnel with stretching of the flexor retinaculum and plantar compression of the flexor group of muscles in addition to median nerve for clinical correlation. 
Another two small lesions in the lateral aspect of the hand; the first one between 4th and 5th metacarpal bones while the other one lateral to the fifth meta carpal bone.
Non visualization of the index finger.

IMPRESSION:

Picture is suggestive of recurrent right hand fibromatosis.
