MRCP (CBD stone).





PROTOCOL:

•    T1W FFE and T2W SPIR axial scans.
•    Single shot axial and coronal breath hold scans.
•    3D coronal for MRCP.

FINDINGS:

•    Non visualization of the gall bladder (surgically removed).

•    The intrahepatic bile ducts, right and left main hepatic ducts are normal in course and caliber.

•    The common bile duct is dilated in caliber (7 mm) with evidence of a filling defect is seen within its lower part measuring about 6 mm in diameter.

•    The pancreatic duct is normal in course and caliber.


IMPRESSION :-

•    In light of above mentioned MR signs; picture is suggestive of a common bile duct calculus resulting in dilated CBD for clinical correlation.
