Torn anterior Tibio-fibular ligament (MR).

FINDINGS:

-Posterior compartment:
• Mild Achilles tendonitis.

-Lateral compartment:
• Torn anterior Tibio-fibular ligament.
• Normal morphology of peroneus longus and brevis tendons.
• Normal morphology of anterior and posterior Talo-fibular ligaments.
• Normal morphology of the posterior Tibio-fibular ligament.

-Medial compartment:
• Fluid collection around tendons of Tibialis posterior and flexor degitorum longus.
• Normal medial collateral ligament.

-Anterior compartment:
• Normal morphology of the tendons.

-The left ankle joint shows normal bony alignment.
-The lower ends of tibia and fibula, talus, calcaneum and visualized small bones of the foot show normal outline and signal intensity. No focal area of altered signal intensity is noted in the bones under view.

OPINION:

• Mild Achilles tendonitis.
• Torn anterior Tibio-fibular ligament.
• Teno-synovitis of Tibialis posterior and flexor degitorum longus.
