Parotid gland hemangioma (MR).

PROTOCOL:

T1W – Sagittal & axial scans
T2W – Axial & coronal scans
FLAIR – Axial scans

FINDINGS:

-Enlargement of the right parotid with diameters of about 54 mm (AP diameter) x 51 mm (vertical diameter) x 15 mm (transverse diameter). It shows diffuse hyper intensity of the superficial part of the gland on T2 images if compared to the left side with multiple linear signal void structures (represent intra tumoral flow void vessels).
-No contrast given due to failure of injection.

-Brain parenchyma pattern is normal for patient age with myelination still in progression.
-No obvious focal lesion is seen.
-Third and lateral ventricles are normal in size and position.
-Septum is in midline.
-Brain stem and cerebellum are normal in appearance and signal intensities.
-Fourth ventricle is normal in position and size.

IMPRESSION:

On the light of the above mentioned MR picture; picture is suggestive of benign enlargement of the right parotid gland.
Presence of intra parenchymal multiple linear signal voids structure; increase possibility of right parotid hemangioma for clinical correlation.
