PROTOCOL:
T1W – Sagittal & axial scans
T2W – Axial & coronal scans
FLAIR – Axial scans
FINDINGS:
-Evidence of a supra sellar mass is noted with diameters of about 11 mm (transverse) x 13 mm (height) and 10.5 mm (AP diameter). It shows heterogeneous intensity near to that of the grey matter on T1; faint hyper intensity on T2 and Flair images.
-Caudally it causes compression of the pituitary gland while from upward it reaches to the level of hypothalamus and floor of the third ventricle.
-It does not cause any effect on both para sellar regions except from shifting the stalk to the left side.
-No abnormal enhancement could be seen through the mass.
-Evidence of small vessel ischemic disease of the brain is noted grade I Fazekas classification.
OPINION:
• None enhanced centrally located supra sellar mass with heterogeneous faint hyper intensity on T1 images giving differential diagnosis of fatty supra sellar lesion such as lipoma; hamartoma or dermoid cyst for clinical correlation.
