Sub Acute Brain Infarction (MR).








PROTOCOL:

T1W – Sagittal & axial scans
T2W – Axial & coronal scans
FLAIR – Axial scans 

FINDINGS& IMPRESSION:

-Revealed:
Urgent reporting done.
Right basal ganglia infarction with diameters of about 23 x 10 mm.
Another area of infarction in the right parieto-occipital region with diameters of about 33 x 18 mm.
Right peri ventricular area of infarction with about 26 x 15 mm diameters.
All the above mentioned areas of infarction are in a sub acute state.
Faint restricted diffusion in the region of the right insula (could represents an area of penumbra).
Almost complete blockage of the right middle cerebral artery in its proximal part.
Normal morphology of MR Venography.
Bilateral basal ganglia calcification.
For clinical correlation.
