Optic nerve neuritis (MR).



PROTOCOL:
T2W FS –Axial & Sagittal scans
T1W FS – Axial, Sagittal &Coronal scans
Post contrast T1 FS – Axial, Sagittal & Coronal scans 

FINDINGS:

-Revealed:
Discrepancy between the size of optic nerve and optic nerve sheath with no optic nerve tortuosity or flattening of posterior sclera.
Abnormal enhancement of left optic nerve.

-Both globes show normal MR morphology and signal intensities. 
-The optic sheaths show normal signal intensities.
-The ocular muscles are normal in appearance.
-Retro bulbar fat is normal.
-Optic chiasm is normal.


OPINION:

Picture is suggestive of left optic neuritis for clinical correlation.
