Pre and post contrast MDCT was performed for the orbits.
Multiplanar reconstructions were obtained.
- Bilateral diffuse smooth thickening of the optic nerve sheaths Flattening of the posterior aspect of the sclera.
- Empty sella is noted.
- The ocular muscles are normal.
- No abnormal enhancement is seen.
- Retrobulbar fat is normal.
- No evidence of exophthalmos is seen.
- Optic foramina and orbital fissures are normal.
- Bony margins of orbits show no obvious abnormality.
IMPRESSION:
CT features suggesting of benign increased intra cranial tension for MRI evaluation if clinically indicated.
