Clinical impression: Old trauma.
Plain MDCT scan was performed for the lumbo-sacral spine.
Multiplanar reconstructions were obtained.
• Pseudo articulation of the left side of L5 and the left sacral ala with sclerosed irregular margins denoting chronic process ( Castellvi classification system Type II A which may be the cause of the LBP).
• No evidence of any bony lesion is observed in the visualized vertebral bodies, neural arches and bony appendages.
• No evidence of any fracture or collapse of the lumbar vertebrae is seen.
• Spinal canal is normal.
• No evidence of spondylolysis or listhesis is seen.
• The visualized disc spaces are normal.
• The visualized facetal joints are normal.
IMPRESSION:
• Pseudo articulation of L5 with the sacrum as described.
• Otherwise, No significant abnormality is observed.
