Holoprosencephaly (MR).

PROTOCOL:

T1W – Sagittal & axial scans
T2W – Axial & coronal scans
FLAIR – Axial scans

FINDINGS:

-The basic structure of the cerebral hemispheres is lost, with variable amounts of residual cortex. Features include:

• Single midline mono-ventricle (or holosphere).
• Fused thalami.
• Lateral and third ventricles are absent.
• Absent midline structures.
• Absent septum pellucidum.
• Agenesis of the corpus callosum.
• Absent interhemispheric fissure and falx cerebri.
• Dorsal cyst of holoprosencephaly measuring about 67 x 43 mm in diameters.

OPINION:

• Picture is suggestive of Holoprosencephaly for clinical correlation.
