Coloboma (MR).,


PROTOCOL:   

T2W  - Axial scans
T1W - Axial & Sagittal  scans
FLAIR - coronal scans
3D SPGR – Axial scans

FINDINGS:

-Abnormal contour of the posterior sclera of the left globe which could suggest Coloboma (is a collective term encompassing any focal discontinuity in the structure of eye ball) causing tortuosity of corresponding optic nerve.
-Normal corpus callosum.
-Mild irregularity of the anterior surface of the pons.

-Brain parenchyma pattern is normal for patient age with myelination still in progression.
-No obvious focal lesion is seen.
-Third and lateral ventricles are normal in size and position.
-Septum is in midline.
-The rest of the brain stem and cerebellum are normal in appearance and signal intensities.
-Fourth ventricle is normal in position and size.


IMPRESSION:

• Picture is suggestive of Coloboma of the left eye with no associated corpus callosum atrophy.
